The real dirt is never completely swept under the carpet in this serio-comic play about three ambitious employees of a franchised national home-cleaning service in Maine. Molly is middleaged, a dour discontent, but steadfast and reliable. As such, she has earned the title of "team leader" with the Home Maid Company. She takes her job seriously, more seriously it seems than the snippy, testy and younger trainee Claire who has recently been hired by the new regional manager Jimmy, a dedicated if also lecherous company man. The story is packed with laughs as we watch the three deal with the reality of love, finance, friendship and the struggle for survival.

Moonlight and Magnolias
by Ron Hutchinson
1939 Hollywood is abuzz. The greatest movie in history has script troubles and movie mogul David O. Selznick is bleeding a fortune. Five days, he figures, is all he has before his goose is cooked. But he’s got Hollywood’s best rewrite guy, Ben Hecht; he’s got big-time director Victor Fleming; he’s got a typewriter; he’s got a supply of bananas; and he’s got the key to the office door. No one’s going nowhere until the script is fixed! Ron Hutchinson’s thrilling and hilarious play captures the true life madness behind the scenes of Gone with the Wind.

Special Presentation:
Let's Pretend We're Married
In a classic cabaret style, Let’s Pretend We’re Married will feature music and sketches from comedy’s most famous couples. The Bickersons, Henny Youngman, Phyllis Diller, Sonny and Cher—and a special salute to Burns and Allen, whose material stars Tony Braithwaite and Jen Childs first began performing 10 years ago at 1812 Productions. The musical selection is just as varied with classic cuts from Tom Lehrer, Stephen Sondheim, George and Ira Gershwin, and Irving Berlin.
Let’s Pretend We’re Married also offers the ultimate in audience participation as married couples can renew their vows during a performance of the show. Couples interested in renewing their vows should contact Montgomery Theater’s administrative office at 215.723.9984 x11 for details.

Everybody Loves Opal
by John Patrick
Directed by Tony Braithwaite
Opal Kronkie, a middle-aged lovable recluse, lives in a tumble-down mansion at the edge of the municipal dump. The general disarray of her establishment is aggravated by the fact that she collects things—anything that can be toted home in her little red wagon. A trio of down and out con-artists think Opal needs
plenty of insurance and a rapid demise. Her dilapidated residence is the perfect hideout and remedy for their shattered finances. Attempted murder wouldn't seem to be funny, but in Mr. Patrick's magic hands it is uproarious.

Half and Half
by James Sherman
In the first act, at breakfast in 1970, the breadwinner husband reads the newspaper and the homemaker wife fries the eggs. In act two, thirty-five years later in the same kitchen, the career-minded wife reads the paper and the stay-at-home husband cooks the morning meal. With comic insight, James Sherman explores marriages past and present to look at how husbands and wives accept and reject their roles, how their roles have changed and, how their roles just might be changing back. The same three actors portray the age appropriate roles in each act, creating an interesting parallel between the two generations, making for a very poignant comedy about marriage.
