The Award of Excellence is an annual recognition typically given at the end of the season to a regular Montgomery Theater artist who has presented our audiences with a proven body of work. The artist can be an actor, designer, craftsperson or technician who has shown exceptional proficiency in their area of expertise. The decision to honor a candidate also takes into consideration the display of excellence over a significant amount of time as well as considerable evidence of the artist’s dedication to fulfilling the mission of the Montgomery Theater. In the past, the award winner has been a privileged selection made by the theater’s founders.
