A comedy of Planners

Empty nesters welcome home their children over various family holidays spanning three decades. Parents and their grown children deal with each of their evolving adult lives, their dreams and unresolved issues. Old family traditions and dubious recipes are resurrected as tensions flare up and laughs break out during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's visits.

Acceptable for audiences over 12 years of age.

"Making God Laugh is that rare play that manages to be absolutely genuine, deeply moving and unbelievably funny all at once. A portrait of a family over a thirty-year span that is as hilarious and sad, as challenging and hopeful, as life itself. Sean Grennan has written a beautiful, honest - and very, very funny - play."
— Paul Slade Smith — Playwright, Unnecessary Farce
"Finally a play that nails that all-American holiday: Thanksgiving! I giggled all through, except when I was guffawing. Hilarious!"
— Tom Dudzick—Playwright, Over the Tavern
